The National Governors Association (NGA), which represents 55 governors of U.S. states and territories, has published their Principles for National Infrastructure Investment. The Principles outline a national vision for infrastructure and specify what actions they call on Congress and the Trump Administration to undertake to support infrastructure. Specifically, they are requesting the following actions from the federal government:

  • Ensure dedicated, long-term funding and financing
  • Fix and expand existing infrastructure and invest in resiliency and security
  • Streamline project delivery through reduced approval times
  • Innovate to achieve resiliency, security, and efficiency

They also specify three main areas requiring infrastructure investment. These areas include transportation and community design; natural resources and resiliency; and technology and energy innovation. A copy of the principles document can be found HERE.
