WWEMA’s 112th Annual Meeting, which was originally scheduled to take place in Miami Beach, Florida is moving to a virtual format. We will be holding the meeting during the same general timeframe, November 4-6, 2020. You can expect many of the same components of the in-person meeting as usual plus more! Our program will include Anirban Basu, economist, who will provide an update on a number of economic factors shaping the business climate in 2020 and beyond. Additionally, Lucy Dadayan, Senior Research Associate with the Urban Institute’s Tax Policy Center will provide insight into how the pandemic has affected state budget revenues and what that means for the water utilities and the outlook for the water treatment technology market. Gene Marks, CPA and President and CEO of The Marks Group—and speaker from our July Virtual Meeting—will return to provide additional business insight and strategies on how to position your company for success regardless of the results of the Federal Presidential election. WWEMA Executive Director, Vanessa Leiby, will share a regulatory update and Eric Sapirstein of ENS Resources will provide a legislative overview and some insights into what you might see going into 2021, all helping you plan for likely business impacts.
