Project Description

Susi Ricker serves as Director of Operations, providing senior-level oversight of WWEMA’s operational, financial, and administrative functions in support of the Association’s mission and members. She works in close partnership with the Executive Director and the WWEMA team to support governance, continuity of operations, and the effective execution of Board-approved strategic priorities.

With a foundation in information technology and nonprofit operations, Susi focuses on strengthening internal systems, controls, and processes that promote transparency, efficiency, and accountability. Her work supports responsible resource management, risk awareness, and data-informed decision-making which is key to protecting member value and ensuring organizational sustainability.

Susi is a published author in Artificial Intelligence, Ethics, and Technology and regularly contributes to industry dialogue on the operational and ethical implications of emerging technologies. She has facilitated and participated in panel discussions on AI-related topics, helping convene practitioners, policymakers, and technical experts to support informed discussion and responsible adoption within the water sector.

A member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Susan brings experience across operations, finance, contracts, membership systems, and large-scale meetings and events. She has supported initiatives to modernize internal platforms and enhance service delivery to members.

Currently advancing her academic work in AI Technologies, Ethics, and Nonprofit Management at George Mason University, Susan applies an organized, analytical approach to operational leadership. She is known for simplifying complexity, managing competing priorities, and ensuring that WWEMA’s day-to-day operations reflect the fiduciary responsibilities entrusted by its Board and membership.
