The 2018 Finance & Contract Administration Council Meeting, May 15-17 at the Law Offices of Barnes & Thornburg Indianapolis, will be an excellent opportunity for educational programming for anyone that works on contracts for their organization. In addition to contract administrators, the meeting also is a good opportunity for Presidents, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Controllers, Finance Administrators, Applications Engineers, Procurement Managers, Credit Managers, and others to learn about topics that affect their entire organizations. Topics will be varied with a diverse group of experts in their fields discussing the issues most important to the attendees.

The 2017 Finance & Contract Administration Council (F&CA) Meeting, held May 17-18 in Chicago, was an excellent opportunity for educational programming for anyone that works on contracts for their organization. In addition to contract administrators, the meeting also attracted Presidents, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Controllers, Finance Administrators, Applications Engineers, Procurement Managers, Credit Managers, and more. Topics were varied with a diverse group of experts in their fields discussing the issues most important to the attendees.
Topics included incoterms & risk with Coppersmith Global Logistics, payments & warranties with Phil Beck of Smith, Currie & Hancock, a session on licensing agreements related to intellectual property with the legal team from Barnes & Thornburg, and an insurance broker discussing some important topics like general liability, employment practice liability and cyber coverage. A session on terms & conditions with the team from Bowen Engineering Corporation was a spirited session with the attendees negotiating some of their terms and conditions including binding effect, submittal, delivery, performance guarantees, compliance, payment, remedies for breach, indemnity, dispute resolution, and more.
