    Membership Types

WWEMA Full Membership. Any persons, firms, or corporations engaged directly or through an affiliate(s) in the manufacture or assembly of machinery and/or appurtenances, including treatment media, used in the adjustment, conservation, or handling of water. Full members shall have all rights of activity and voting privileges and can hold positions of Director or Officer. Eligibility restricted to manufacturers only. Annual dues amounts are tiered and are based on gross sales.

WWEMA Associate Membership. Any non-manufacturing persons, firms, corporations, or other commercial or academic entity involved in the water and wastewater industry. Associate Members shall have all rights and privileges of a Full Member except that such members shall not have the right to vote and may not hold positions of Director or Officer. Eligibility is restricted to non-manufacturing businesses only.

Associate Member dues are based on the type of business, as follows:

Associate Membership - Manufacturer Representative or Distributor ($2,500):
    • Manufacturer’s Representative
    • Distributor
    Associate Membership -Publications/Media Firms/Human Resources Firms ($2,500):
    • Publications
    • Media Firms
    • Human Resources Firms
    Associate Membership Other ($3,500):
    • Category includes non-manufacturing, Associate Member companies not included in the other categories listed.
Associate Membership - Private Equity Firm:
    • At least one subsidiary company of a private equity firm must be a WWEMA member in order for a private equity firm to separately hold a WWEMA membership. Dues are calculated using the same manufacturer dues schedule that is based on total gross sales to the water and/or wastewater industry for each held company with any dues paid by the respective private-equity-held WWEMA-member company(ies) subtracted from the amount owed by the private equity parent company, subject to a $5,000 minimum dues level.
Associate Membership - Parent company of multiple manufacturer representative firms:
    • Membership is desired to be held by the individual manufacturer representative firm at the doing-business-as (DBA) company level, although parent companies of manufacturer representative firms are separately eligible for Associate membership. In the latter instance, the parent company’s dues would be calculated based on the sum of the dues for all their respective held companies minus any dues paid by their individual companies holding a separate WWEMA membership, subject to a $5,000 minimum dues level.
  • Full Member: Any persons, firms, or corporations engaged directly or through an affiliate(s) in the manufacture or assembly of machinery and/or appurtenances, including treatment media, used in the adjustment, conservation, or handling of water. Full members shall have all rights of activity and voting privileges and can hold positions of Director or Officer. Eligibility restricted to manufacturers only. Annual dues amounts are tiered and are based on gross sales.

    Dues Schedule -

    • Count your total gross sales to the water and/or wastewater industry during the preceding 12-month period. Include product, services, repair parts, and direct shipments from suppliers to your customers. • If a parent company and/or division holds membership in WWEMA and pays maximum dues ($18,000), other divisions and/or the parent company can hold membership based on 30% of the maximum dues ($5,400), or according to its appropriate dues category, whichever is the lesser amount.

  • WWEMA Antitrust Policy

  • The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) is a trade association whose purpose is to promote the common interest of its members and the water and wastewater industry at large, when such interests do not conflict with the common good. WWEMA is not intended to become involved, and it will not become involved, in the competitive decisions of its member companies; nor will it take action that would tend to restrain competition in the water and wastewater equipment industry. Nevertheless, it is recognized by the Board of Directors of WWEMA that its activities could be regarded by some as a forum of opportunity to promote anti-competitive conduct. For this reason, the Board of Directors has taken this occasion, through this Statement of Policy, to make clear its unequivocal support for the policy of competition served by the antitrust laws, as well as its uncompromising intent to comply strictly in all respects with those laws. To that end, the following will not be discussed at meetings: • Current or future prices • What constitutes a “fair” profit level • Possible increases or decreases in prices • Standardization or stabilization of prices • Pricing procedures • Cash discounts • Credit terms • Control of sales • Allocations of markets or geographical division of markets • Refusal to deal with a corporation because of its pricing or distribution practices • Whether or not the pricing practices of any industry member are unethical or constitute an unfair trade practice • Plans to bid or refrain from bidding or submit pricing to bidders on future public projects. Compliance with these guidelines involves not only avoidance of antitrust violation, but avoidance of any behavior which might be considered improper. Antitrust laws are complex and far reaching. This statement is not a complete summary of all applicable laws. It is intended to highlight and emphasize certain basic precautions designed to avoid antitrust problems. In case of doubt, seek the guidance of staff, management, the organization’s counsel, or your own trusted corporate counsel, should antitrust questions arise.
  • WWEMA Code of Ethics

  • The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) and its member companies voluntarily pledge to conduct themselves according to the highest professional standards and laws of society. We shall strive to provide products and services of quality and value. We shall conduct our business with honesty and integrity. We shall make truthful representations as to the performance of our products. We shall work to maintain our professional skills—and those of our employees—at the state of the art. And we shall hold paramount the health and safety of the public in the performance of our business. Adopted by the WWEMA Board of Directors on May 6, 1991, in Washington, D.C.
